XXX _ Hot Blue on Blue Action

The New York Post is reporting that Valeria Jarrett is the one who released the information about Hillary’s e-mails through surrogates and that several probes are ongoing into her conduct in the Obama Administration. The purported motive for this is that Obama does not think she is far left enough and will compromise with the Republicans to undo at least part of Obama’s “legacy” (if you can call the stuff he left laying on the carpet a legacy).

One of Bill Clinton’s friends reports him as saying,

“The Obamas are out to get us any way they can.”

The article claims that the release of information about Hillary’s violation of the law in regards to her e-mails was timed to coincide with when she was thought to be about to officially announce her candidacy for president.

I had wondered why Hillary was getting such rough treatment from the press and why the Obama administration had not really come to her defense.  Normally something like violating several laws and leaving our secrets on an insecure server while deleting thousands upon thousands of records is not something that would even be investigated by the current people who are running the country.  Lois Lerner even got a bonus for nothing less than persecuting the president’s political enemies.  And the press just loves them some Hillary.  But with Obama pushing the story they had to pick where their loyalty lay.

I will also add, that I for one will be very likely to vote for any candidate who promises to perp walk anyone in our government who aided or complied with any of Obama’s illegal acts while in office or who took it upon themselves to use the powers of their office in a partisan fashion.  To my knowledge none of the candidates have promised a wholesale cleansing of our regulatory agencies.  It will not be enough to simply replace the people at the top.  The type of lawlessness we have witnessed during the Obama years cannot be allowed to go unpunished and as long as our agencies are populated with the sorts of people who would go along with such policies none of us will ever be safe.  Even if we had to pay a huge settlement for violating civil service rules with mass terminations it would be cheap at ten times the price.  And we can prioritize paying them the same way Obama has prioritized immigration enforcement.  The precedent has been set.

I would also like to hear a Republican utter these words, “what was done by fiat can be undone by fiat” — meaning that whatever was done illegally can be undone without consulting Congress.  Whatever trick, such as reconciliation used in passing the ACA, can be used to undo the same legislation.  And that if Supreme Court judges can be bullied and intimidated into infringing upon our rights then they can also be impeached and replaced.  Normally I would be for none of these things but since they have all been used by one side then it is kosher to use the same methods at least to the extent of restoring the status quo ante.  Besides, how can you ask Congress to repeal something they never passed as is the case with many of the actions Obama has taken?
